Hi denim on denim - it's been a while

Shirt & Shoes - Zara | Jeans - Levis | Coat - Vintage | Rings - H&M / IGOR / Hardware / Monica Vinader | Wallet - Patrick Cox

Yesterday at lunch time. Around 1pm. It is the standard time my stomach starts complaining. I went to grab a quick lunch from Vital Ingredients on Maddox street; my favorite salad place when I am at the office.
Well, ok the spot is too famous to lie. I paid a cheeky visit to Topshop too - please don't tell my boss:)
I got stopped by Sofeminine.co.uk who asked to snap my outfit. It was them who kindly forwarded the photos; many thanks guys!
Outfit wise, I am sporting my favorite trend of all times - denim on denim - and hey, indeed it has been a while. If you are reading Andriasdose, you've probably seen me sporting denim head to toe a zillion of times. If not, you can check here, here, here and ummm maybe here?
And now, on shoes.. I am head over heels for the strappy sandals trend. So chic. So sexy. Perfect for that distressed pair of jeans or the hot levis cutoffs. Instant outfit update.
I have to admit, these shoes don't really like feet but...think of it like chocolate. It doesn't really do much good, but we still eat it like crazy. This pair is from Zara's last season collection but I still do love them much.
Btw, I've spotted two new pairs that I intend to add to my ever-growing collection very soon.
I HAVE ENOUGH SHOES SAID NO WOMAN EVER. Agreed?

Sunday 08.59 am. Nina Simone is singing 'Feeling Good'. Early rise and early shine. I had a shower, pampered myself a bit and prepared my ritualistic coffee. It looks like a beautiful day for new plans and new beginnings. Positivity all over. Karma. The good one.
Have a happy Sunday you all!
See you soon.
Love,
A.

New in: Hardware store equipment

I'm a devotee of making the disposable undisposable - discovering, changing, customising. So when I first entered a hardware store 2 years ago my imagination felt a tingle of fascination. I knew it was time to play. My first experience was when I discovered the metal 'necklace and rings' seen on the left of the first photo. I think it was in the plumbing section. I saw them and they saw me; screaming 'A MUST HAVE'. Since then, these stores have become my ultimate destination for the next screw, hinge or tube that will make the perfect piece of jewellery.
I bought six new pieces the other day (photo 2) for less than a fiver.  Not bad right? Have a look at your local hardware store and you will surely find a gem.
Have you guys spotted any good stores around London that I should know of?
Big kiss.
A.

Distressed denim + aztec + glitter

Photos by Oriana
Green jumper & Aztec bag - Vintage | Distressed shorts - Levis customised | Heels - Zara (Old)

How many times am I going to talk about weather and get away with it before you politely tell me to shut the f**k(ooops sorry about the F word) up?
I promise it is the last time. I am just trying to give an excuse on why you are looking at two different looks in one post. The art of layering once again..
It is that kind of 'in - between' weather that could be hot and turn cold in the day and because I want to have my a** covered, I went out pretty prepared today. The sun was shining; maybe one of the hottest days of the year to date. I even got a line from tanning  - something like a zebra in a light from as if I was wearing the distressed jeans -  while having my coffee at the French cafe La Bouche up at London Fields.

Now lets talk style. One could wonder, how the heck I combined distressed denim, an aztec bag and strappy glitter-ish sandals? Emm.. voila. It doesn't look bad to me, what do you guys think?
The denim on denim is an old - time classic I have in my outfit choices pretty often and due to the fact that both pieces are distressed to the bone, I had to merchandise with some killer yet chic and feminine heels to update the look. I would love to hear your thoughts on this.

Lets all Londoners pray for this weather to stay put!

A story told in colours

Top - H&M | Waxed jeans - Zara | Boots - Proenza Schouler | Clutch - H&M Trend | Leather Vest & Hat - Vintage

I find incredible pleasure in wandering around the streets of East London. So much awe-inspiring beauty everywhere. Street art and graffiti. This one is located in a parking space in Brick Lane. An amazing story told in colours...
I was so much looking forward to Spring; some wardrobe revamp and new attires sporting the latest trends. The cropped top is one of them and you will be seeing it pretty often my loves. I have done my prep already; there are a couple of them waiting to be shot for you.
Now the vest. What do you think about it? It is one of my newest acquisitions and OMG, it has turned out a brill buy; I am beyond happy for - literally - discovering it. Its structured shoulders make me think a bit Balmain-ish. So, yes or no?

Big kiss from me.

Rooftops, vinos and great friends

Cutoffs - Vintage Levis | Shirt - Zara | Trenchcoat - Vintage | Loafers - Zara | Cap - Asos

Spring is officially here! And London literally transforms when the weather changes. And I am loving it. The smile on the face of people, the way they dress, the things they do. It is like a different city. As if we lack sunshine and good weather, the 20 degrees is for us - heaven. I took the chance to sport some bare legs with my fave cutoffs and hit the road for some vino with great friends - TefkrosOriana and Adriana - at the majestic rooftop of Boundary.
Friday soon. Whoop whoop!
Have a lovely day.

On dining and reviewing DSTRKT London

After a couple of days of not being able to post, trying to catch - up with every thing London due to absence in Germany, I am coming back super - thrilled to share my first restaurant review.
While nothing could ever antagonist my love for clothes and shoes, I admit that I love a good dining, wining & cocktailing. At the end of the day, what’s the point of owning these fabulous attires if we are not wearing them to somewhere equally exceptional?

I was delighted to receive the email from the lovely Sibel, inviting me to try the new Spring menu at DSTRKT London. Regarding the space itself, the restaurant is arranged over two levels, the bar is adorned with beautiful flowers and there are colourful lightbulbs changing shades that titivate the ceiling. It feels modern, vibrant and superbly luxurious.

As for the service, well, OMG, I don’t think I’ve ever experienced anything comparable to this until now.
From the moment we got there, my friend Tefkros and I, we were treated and spoiled with full attention. I definitely felt like a princess! Tef himself, a fine dining enthousiast with food and wine expertise. What better company could I have had? His extremely pleasant personality added extra points to my delightful evening.
We started with a fruity white to accompany the fish dishes. Gladly, the restaurant manager along with his waiters gave us a proper tutorial with all the food descriptions.
We've tasted the salad with the baby radishes and blue-cheese sphere, some tongue - smashing native oysters with lime and a yellow fin tuna with soya air and avocado sauce - one of my favorite dishes. The octopus carpaccio with the shetland mussels, the gelee and the fresh English peas was to die for. Worth mentioning was the scrumptious warm asparagus salad with black truffle and the creamy yogurt emulsion. Also, the potato salad with red crab and british peppers. Then, it was the cornwall river wild sea trout with the celeriac puree and the dorset watercress..
Jesus, finger-licking much?
We were then served to a clean red and opted for the sublime meat-based main dishes; the blueberry barbecue sauced pork belly and the Spring lamb pancetta with fava beans and white beans puree. To be honest with you, I am not a fan of lamb... in fact I normally hate it. I kindly asked the waiter not to serve me with any but he insisted I'd tried at least a bite, promising that I would not be able to even smell lamb. And I did. And he was so right! The dish was amazing. All I could taste was an extremely soft meat which I could not distinguish its origin. The fava beans sauce was divine and it was the one that overtook the flavours.
As with good cocktail barmen I guess, it is the same with chefs...when they present a dish with all its ingredients so greatly blended that you don't even identify what you are tasting.
ART
.

Then, my favorite moment. My weakness. My indulgence. THE DESSERT! If you know me and follow me (especially on Instagram), then you know that I love a good dessert. And DSTRKT definitely delivered.
The tantalising elderflower and prosecco sorbet was a highlight for me. Moreover, the angel cake, with roasted nectarines and walnut praline, accompanied with ice-cream and espresso martinis. Lastly, the pistaccio panacota. Heaven!

At the end of the night, I admit, I was feeling sinful. But it was one of the best sins I have ever committed.
It was all so damn good - DSTRKT London definitely gets my two thumbs up! It is a place I am absolutely recommending and a place I will definitely visit again. From the space, the atmosphere, to the menu and the service.
10 out of 10 from me DSTRKT!
Big kiss.
